LINEARIZED VELOCITY SENSORS

Key features
- Integrated electronic providing excellent sensitivity from 0.5Hz to 1kHz (0.5Hz to 1.5kHz for LVS-301 model)
- Robust design
- Better alternative than piezo-electric accelerometers for low-frequency measurements
Description
Based on an electrodynamic principle, Linear velocity sensors (LVS) provide a signal that is directly proportional to the vibration’s velocity amplitude. LVS are designed for low-frequency vibration monitoring and are significantly more sensitive than standard piezoelectric sensors in the low-frequency range.
Depending on the application, lower signal frequencies are measured: LVS are especially suitable for frequencies below 100Hz, as they provides a much stronger signal than conventional piezoelectric accelerometers. Therefore, LVS are highly recommended for monitoring hydroelectric turbines operating below 300 RPM.
Available for horizontal or vertical applications. Sensors can be supplied with integral cable or IP68 connectors.
